As you may have seen from some of my posts I love all things horror, especially movies and games. I remember watching my first ever horror movie which was Child's Play, and playing my first ever horror game which was Resident Evil. (The dog jumping out the window always bloody got me!). Here is my list of the best horror games you need to play. Ideally in the dark, sound cranked up with headphones.

Dying Light 

Set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies, this open-world game combines parkour movement with intense combat. Survive the night as you scavenge for supplies and face off against hordes of infected.

Condemned: Criminal Origins 

Play as FBI agent Ethan Thomas as he investigates a series of brutal murders in this atmospheric first-person psychological thriller. This game is incredibly underrated and often overlooked. It also has a 2nd game that is pretty underrated.

Alan Wake

A mystery horror game where a writer, called Alan Wake funnily enough, discovers that the town is being taken over by an otherworldly darkness known as the Dark Presence. Armed with a flashlight and various firearms, Alan must fight off possessed townspeople and shadowy creatures while unraveling the truth behind the Dark Presence and rescuing his wife.
